This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from Nicola Grace Millinery 

Purchasing: Hats, fascinators and headpieces are  personalised and designed according to clients request. The whole process is totally transparent from initial design to making. Each piece is handcrafted with care and great attention to detail,  for a beautiful finish. These bespoke custom creations are personalised for each client. 

 

Delivery and Returns

Bespoke makes are between 6-8 weeks, but times may vary due to workload and dates they need to be ready for. 

For Bespoke pieces you will be advised of the lead time throughout the process. Nicola will advise you if more time is required for your make.  

Please note time scales may vary, due to the fine hand sewing involved in producing your luxury hat. 

All UK orders are sent via Royal Mail or collected from our Hat studio 

Returns & Alterations 

Bespoke and made -to order headwear

At Nicola Grace Millinery, each piece is carefully handcrafted. Due to the nature of millinery, we ask customers to read the following policy before purchasing. 

Alterations & fit adjustments

We want you to be delighted with your headwear and its important you try on your hat or fascinator in store on collection. You will sign to say you are happy with your purchase. 

Any fit concerns or minor adjustments requests must be raised at time of collection, so that fit adjustments can take place. 

If you have ordered a hat by post- any fit concerns or minor adjustment requests must be reported within 14 days of receiving the item. 

Complimentary minor adjustments may be offered within this period where appropriate. 

Requests made after 14 days may occur an alteration fee. 

Alterations requested after 3 months from collection/ delivery will be treated as a new commission and subject to feasibility, materials availability, and full chargeable rates. 

Returns

Due to hygiene reasons and the bespoke nature of millinery:

  • Custom-made commissioned, or altered items are non-refundable unless faulty. 
  • Ready-to -wear items may be returned within 14 days if unworn, unused, and in original conditions. 
  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customers unless the item is faulty. 

Ready to wear hats -If you are not completely satisfied with your goods –  Nicola Grace Millinery  offer a 7 day return or exchange policy. 

Please not that bespoke makes are not able to be refunded as they were made especially for you. 

Cancelling your order 

The United Kingdoms Distance selling Regulations give you the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from  Nicola Grace Millinery for a full refund. The exception is goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons or if they have been personalised for the customer. Please not that the tag label should still be on the hat and it must not have been worn. 

How to return or Exchange an item by Royal Mail. 

Ensure you return your item(s) within 7 days of receipt, and in the original packaging with labels attached. 

Take your package to any post office counter and ask for a proof of posting. It is your responsibility to ensure the parcel reaches us so you may with to upgrade your delivery to a tracked delivery service for safety. 

Please note, unfortunately we are unable to refund the cost of any upgrade to your delivery service. 

It is strongly advised that you keep hold of any tracking numbers that the post office may give you.

All work to be carried out will be invoiced to the client and payment should be paid in full before the work is carried out. 

Clients will receive a receipt upon payment and instructions for the make and a date for it to be ready.

Nicola Grace Millinery  collects customer contact details solely for the purpose of processing and managing orders.

When you make a purchase,

Arrange collection of fitting appointments

Provide receipts or order updates. 

Customer details are not shared with third parties unless required by law. 

Information is stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary for business records and customer service purposes. 

Customers may request access to or deletion of their personal information at any time by contacting Nicola Grace Millinery directly.
